About Applied Power Concepts
Applied Power Concepts provides product development, manufacturing and analysis services for the chemical process industry, the biotechnology process industry and the renewable energy generation industry. Our product and process experience also includes such diverse industries as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, toiletries, foods and household products.
Applied Power Concepts is centrally located in Orange County California in the city of Anaheim, CA in a 50,000 sq. ft. secured facility. We have a full service in-house 10,000 sq. ft. laboratory with full-time chemists on staff. Our four laboratory areas are Organic Synthesis, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry which ensures a complete testing and formulation process ability.
A 40,000 sq. ft. working space of pilot plant and small batch production manufacturing area also helps us develop your product from small to large scale. Process Development includes development of Process Flow Diagrams, Mass and Energy Balances and definition of waste and by-product streams. We use equipment ranging from chemical reactors, to chilled water systems, to steam systems, to vacuum systems and more. Our scientists manage the product and process development with the premise of high standards and cost effective strategies. You are always a part of the process and are provided updates to help monitor progress. We also provide chemical engineering integration for further scale-up of the process to commercialization.
William A. Farone, Ph.D. founded Applied Power Concepts in 1987 and continues to be a key leader in the company to this day. He has over 35 years experience in development of commercial processes from laboratory and pilot plant studies. Previously, he served for over 16 years as director of research for two large multinational companies. He has over 80 technical publications written and is an inventor of several products and processes in energy, biochemical and chemical technology.
